FAQ

  • Q: Why is this course called "What the Fascia!?"

A: Because sometimes the body just screams for attention! We chose the title to reflect the frustration and confusion many feel when perimenopause hits. Even our physician clients, who have spent years in medical school, often tell us that the 5–10 minutes we spend discussing their perimenopausal symptoms in their bodywork session is the longest conversation they've ever had on the topic. If the experts are getting the short end of the stick, it's time to dig deeper. This course is our way of saying, "What the fascia?!" and finally giving this transition the deep, nuanced, and compassionate inquiry it deserves.

  • Q: Who is this course actually for?

A: This is a gender-inclusive space for anyone navigating hormonal shifts or supporting those who are. Specifically, we welcome: Bodyworkers & Somatic Practitioners, Mental Health Professionals, Psychiatric Prescribers, Gynecology Clinicians, and Anyone in It!

  • Q: How does this course approach ketamine, psychedelics, and the entanglement of physical and emotional pain?

A: We dive deep into the idea that pain is rarely just physical or just emotional. We will discuss psychiatric support, fascial change, and inflammation from many kaleidoscopic perspectives!

  • Q: Why is "collaborative care" such a big part of your philosophy?

A: Because the current system is fragmented, and you are not! Right now, a client might see a psychiatrist for mood, a gynecologist for hormones, and a bodyworker for pain, with zero communication between them. They are often left to piece together a puzzle where half the pieces are missing. Our core belief is that collaborative are is the glue. Whether you are the one holding the hand, prescribing the med, or doing the bodywork, this course supports you to speak the same language as the other providers in the room. We focus on building a unified care plan where the somatic, the psychological, and the hormonal are treated as one interconnected system, not three separate problems. You don't have to be everything to everyone, but you can be the bridge that connects the dots.

  • Q: Will we cover specific conditions alongside perimenopause?

A: Yes, but we frame them through the lens of practical application, specifically discussing how these conditions change the game for psychiatry and bodywork techniques alongside the effects of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). We will explore how perimenopause intersects with connective tissue disorders like EDS and hypermobility. We will also talk about how hormones protect against genetic depression risk and can flare up ADHD.

  • Q: Is this just theory, or will I get actionable tools?

While we unpack the science of collagen, hyaluronic acid, and hormones, the goal is to build a real-world toolkit. You'll leave with strategies for pacing, touch, and holistic care planning that honor the complexity of this wild chapter while avoiding platitudes.

  • Q: Are Continuing Education (CE) credits available?

A: Yes, No. Maybe. It's in progress (pending approval).
