Touch with Substance 2026
Finally, a space where embodied wisdom is centered, relational psychedelic work is expanded, and hands-on expertise leads the way.
While psychedelic science advances, a focus on the mind and a pervasive fear of touch blocks the path to holistic care. Many psychotherapists, somatic therapists, and coaches want to serve their clients fully but lack the hands-on training to address the physical reality of complex cases ethically and confidently.
Those with chronic pain and in need of thoughtfully held relational, embodied care are left underserved. The psychedelic care model remains trapped in the mind by centering verbal processing, coaching, and hands-off somatics.
Bodyworkers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, lineage practitioners with hands-on traditions, and subtle body experts hold the practical, anatomical, and physiological tools to address unmet needs. Yet, they are systematically excluded from and underserved by psychedelic training and collaborative care teams. Because of this, there is a lack of capacity to integrate hands-on practice into research and clinical conversations, leaving gaps in care. When hands-on practitioners are included, they are treated as an afterthought rather than honored as leaders with deep expertise and experience.
Bridge building and centering new voices is why we created Touch with Substance. Unlike most multi-speaker online events that flood you with a full day of information, we are spacing out our sessions throughout October. You have time to integrate and process. We also have a virtual art display!
The best part of any in-person conference is the hallway conversations and the magic when the spotlight is off. At the virtual Touch with Substance, you get access to a private, conference-only forum without the public noise. This is a space where you can discuss presentations with peers, ask questions of presenters, build genuine relationships, and enjoy a meaningful sense of connection.
Let's join hands and build the bridge together!
